On Sunday, the vilified dentist who shot the entire world renown Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe over a poaching expedition after paying $50,000 for guides to lure the lion beyond his protected sanctuary, announced he's going to resume his Bloomington dental practice on Tuesday, reports the StarTribune.com.
Dr. Walter Palmer, 55, within his first interview since he was recognized as the hunter who killed Cecil, stated "I employ a lots of employees, and I'm just a little heartbroken for the disruption into their lives. And I'm a health professional. I need to come back to my staff and my patients, plus they want me back. That's why I'm back." Palmer insists he wasn't in hiding, but said he previously had been keeping a "low profile" for security reasons.
It's been about six weeks since Cecil was lured from the Hwange National Park and killed with Palmer's crossbow. He has not been involved in an offence but still insists the killing was legal, and the man with the exceptional safari comrades had no idea the 13-year-old lion together with the distinctive black mane became a revered and beloved lion known throughout the entire world. Two Zimbabweans have already been charged in case, and officials want Palmer extradited to handle charges. Palmer made no mention whether however resume Zimbabwe and answer legal doubts about the hunt, and since far as being the hunt, he only admitted he previously initially wounded Cecil and killed the lion quicker compared to the 40 hours cited in the news.
During the Sunday interview, Palmer was coupled with his attorney Joe Friedberg and also a advertising consultant.
